This project aimed to create a phone holder for a cafe or restaurant environment that would make people aware of their phone usage.  I researched the use of mobile phones in public spaces in Western society. This has been a growing problem within the last 20 years and it is more prominent in Western culture than many other places. The stand would have directional speakers that only work when a phone is in the holder in front of you. This acts as incentive for people to put their phone down while eating and focus on the people around them.
